The Causes of Extremism in Pakistan Youth

There is a lot written about the extremism in Pakistan Youth by the local & foreign writers.

I would be sharing my personal observations on this issue.

Here are few of the causes have effected the behaviours of our young minds :

1. Poor Education  System

The Education system available is not to enlighten the minds but to pass the exams.
It doesn't develop analytical thinking or the plain thinking among the students.

2. Failed Justice System

Justice System in Pakistan is an example of institutional failure where one can do the Mega Corruption & Capital Crimes & still can enjoy the liberty of no punishment because of financial status.

In the war against terror Pakistan Army arrested those terrorists who had killed many civilians but due to poor justice system were released.

This poverty of just is not  only the cause of anxiety among the youth but also disturbs the peace of mind.

3. Unhealthy Environment:

The habit & facilitation for physical activities have been reduced to nearly none which is another cause of extreme behaviours.

4. Corruption

Corruption in every department has done the killing of merit. It is a reason that majority of youth who work hard but become the victims of corruption turn extremists in thoughts.

5. Feudal Democracy:

Democracy in Pakistan is only limited to less than 10% of the population who are Feudals & Industrialists. All the decisions taken in the assemblies are to secure their interests only which is not ignored by the educated lot of Pakistan.

This democracy with no solutions to the problems of Youth is to ignite the extremism among them.

After all the discussed causes of Extremism among youth still if you analyse Majority of  Pakistan Youth is moderate & ready to listen.

We need to bring the Institutional reforms needed for a balanced society where youth can contribute in the Nation Building rather than a threat !
